Position Description

The City of Inver Grove Heights seeks Personal Trainers to provide safe, effective, fun and easy to follow programs to members and guests of our Community Center. Must be able to deal with people effectively, exhibit responsible judgment, understand and follow oral and written direction and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and the public. Must be 18 years of age or older and pass a background check. All positions require current CPR and First Aid certification plus the specific certiifications listed for the positions below. Positions are Part-time 1- 20 hours per week. Childcare and complimentary fitness membership available. A completed City application must be submitted online. EOE.

Essential Job Functions
Create safe, effective, fun and easy to follow Personal Training programs to members and guests ages 10-90. Teach classes such as Boot Camp, Strength Training and Kettle Bell. Conduct orientations and fitness assessments. Sell and execute personal training to customers. Requires a Personal Training Certificate from a nationally recognized organization such as NETA, AFFA, ACE or NASM.

Must possess the physical ability to perform the functions of the position and ability to accept risks associated with utilizing necessary equipment.
