Our client, Earn Your Stripes is seeking a dynamic and experienced Group Fitness Instructor to lead and motivate our members through challenging and energizing workouts. As the Group Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions, providing personalized instruction, and creating a positive and supportive atmosphere for our members. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for helping individuals achieve their fitness goals.

Responsibilities:

Training Session Delivery:

Execute engaging and challenging workout sessions suitable for participants of various fitness levels.
Incorporate a variety of exercises, equipment, and training techniques to ensure a well-rounded and effective workout experience.
Demonstrate proper exercise techniques, form, and safety guidelines to participants.
Motivate and inspire participants during workouts, providing encouragement and guidance to help them reach their fitness goals.
Modify exercises and provide alternative options to accommodate participants with varying fitness levels, injuries, or limitations.

Member Engagement and Support:

Build strong relationships with members, getting to know their fitness goals, preferences, and limitations.
Provide individualized attention and support during workouts, offering modifications, corrections, and guidance as needed.
Create a positive and inclusive environment that fosters camaraderie and encourages members to challenge themselves.
Offer ongoing motivation, accountability, and feedback to help members stay committed and achieve their desired results.
Respond to member questions, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.

Safety and Risk Management:

Ensure the safety of participants by closely monitoring their form, technique, and exertion levels during workouts.
Educate participants on proper warm-up, cool-down, and stretching techniques to prevent injuries.
Maintain a clean and organized workout area, including equipment setup and sanitization protocols.
Stay updated with industry safety guidelines and best practices, implementing them effectively during sessions.
Be prepared to respond to emergencies or provide first aid, if necessary.

Continuous Learning and Development:

Stay informed about the latest trends, research, and developments in fitness training.
Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance coaching skills and acquire new certifications, as relevant.
Collaborate with other fitness professionals and colleagues to share knowledge, ideas, and best practices.
Regularly evaluate and assess the effectiveness of workout sessions, seeking feedback from participants, and making necessary adjustments.

Qualifications:

Certification in personal training, group fitness, or a related field (NASM, ACSM, CSCS, or similar).
Proven experience leading group fitness classes or similar group exercise sessions.
Strong understanding of training methodologies and exercise physiology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivate participants.
Ability to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere that fosters teamwork and support among participants.
Knowledge of proper exercise form, technique, and safety guidelines.
CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
Ability to adapt and modify exercises for individuals with varying fitness levels, injuries, or limitations.
