Job Responsibilities

To conduct fitness assessments to establish client fitness and skill level.
To identify client goals and create tailored fitness and recovery programmes and monitor client’s progress.
To provide professional advice on fitness, health, nutrition, and lifestyle changes based on the client’s goals.
To teach and assist with exercise and recovery programmes and to motivate and guide clients to reach their goals/objectives.
To plan each session to meet the needs of the client and their current state so they are engaged and motivated.
To accurately record and track members training sessions and development.
To build rapport with clients and maintain positive, professional, and trusting relations.
To support membership acquisition and retention strategies to increase your client.
To communicate in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
To ensure the gym is safe, clean, and set up correctly.
To complete administrative duties as required

Job Requirements

Degree in Fitness/ Exercise Science/ related field preferred OR Personal Training Certification from Singapore Sports Council / internationally recognized and accredited certifying organization (ACSM, NASM, NSCA, ACE, FISAF, ISSA).
ITE/Diploma/Degree in Sports and fitness-related fields would be an advantage
Health and Safety qualifications - Valid Cardiac-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification and any first aid, and AED certified
Additional certifications / and or specialisations preferable
Practical experience working/training in a gym.
Excellent people skills - friendly, outgoing, and able to communicate well.
A solid practical knowledge of equipment and exercise range to addresses a variety of needs and individuals with diverse backgrounds and motivations.
To have a high standard of physical fitness and understanding of anatomy, the human body and nutrition.
To have strong customer service skills and be able to motivate clients.
To be able to successfully retain clients for programmes/packages.
To ensure safety of all in the gym and a high awareness of any client injuries
To create a professional and friendly working relationship with internal and external clients and demonstrate a high level of drive and enthusiasm.
To demonstrate a high standards and high level of customer care
To be open to flexible hours
To be committed to self-development and education
To have good time management and organisational skills
To assist with administrative tasks and duties as required
