This role requires passionate human beings who are dedicated to helping others.

The ideal start time is within the next two weeks.

This role is primarily responsible for leading, coaching, cheering-on and generally caring for our members during any of our group personal training sessions.

Additionally, this role will involve setting-up and putting away equipment and engaging in light cleaning and caring for our shared fitness home.

To be clear: this is not like a big-box gym personal trainer role. There is no sales expectation, nor will you be responsible for program design (we take care of both of those). As you get experience with our systems and programs, you will program for your sessions.

You will be expected to provide high quality, mindful, detail-oriented coaching.

We’re looking for a person who is nice and willing to learn our philosophy and our training system. You’ve got to care deeply about people. Creating a magical experience for every person who walks in our doors is an important and challenging job, so you’ll need a passion for and experience in customer service. It would be helpful if you also have some experience in coaching and personal training.

This role will work as a part-time trainer on Wednesday and Thursday evenings (415 to 7pm) and Saturday mornings (one class at 8am). There is potential for extra shifts and advancement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Be a strong leader and authentically yourself
Lead, guide and coach small and large group training sessions and ensure proper exercise technique, movement quality and healthy habits.
Bring FUN, energy, positivity, passion, compassion and inclusivity at all times.
Maintain high levels of professionalism and quality in each training session and interaction with clients.
Embrace self development opportunities and be a self starter for your own growth as a coach.
Our team is hard working and it's all hands on deck.
Help to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Be able to work evenings and Saturdays
Accept that this is a part-time position

Minimum Qualifications:

Personal training certification with ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA or other.
Experience in personal, small group, team or large group training settings.
Willingness to learn and grow as a coach
Minimum of 1 year experience is recommended.

Core Competencies:

Exercise Physiology, kinesiology, anatomy and general nutrition.
Coaching in a variety of environments- 1:1, small group, large group or teams.
Excellent customer service.
Leadership (coaching members, building relationships, holding others accountable, motivating the community).
Great communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy and compassion.
Creativity, positivity and having fun!

Wages + Benefits:

Part time (5-7 group classes per week)
We respect your need for a balance in work and life, it's healthy for everyone. Please know that as coaches, our schedules are based on client availability which translates to early mornings, evenings and weekend hours.
$25-$30/hour based on experience and on-boarding process
W-2 employment classification
Financial assistance with continuing education
Membership which includes ability to join any of the group sessions.
