Description:
We’re currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our North Brisbane team, working across two sites. This exciting role would suit both recently graduated and experienced OTs who are passionate about working with our Aged Care Clients and want to be part of a passionate and dynamic transdisciplinary team.
As an Occupational Therapist at Ballycara you will:
- Provide OT services to clients within their own homes including minor home modifications, equipment prescription, home safety and falls prevention, and support for those living with dementia.
- Work within aged care funding models including Home Care Packages and the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
- Liaise regularly with the multidisciplinary team, including Coordinators, support staff and the Allied Health team, as well as equipment suppliers and client next of kin.
- Opportunity to work within our two residential villas at our Scarborough site for the right person.
- Opportunity to work between our Wooloowin and Scarborough offices, servicing clients throughout Brisbane and the Moreton Bay region. (Reimbursement for KM's travelled between clients)
Skills and Experiences:
To be successful in applying you will be/ have:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy (or equivalent)
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) – Occupational Therapy.
- Ability to guide / support innovative & flexible methods of therapy
- Demonstrated commitment to individual outcome measures & motivational techniques
Position Requirements
- National Police Check clearance
- Current first-aid certificate and CPR
- COVID-19 and Influenza vaccination status as per government guidelines
