In Swansea Freedom operate seven leisure sites across the region on behalf of Swansea Council which include outside & indoor sports facilities with pools, gym and sport hall being just some of the products on offer.

Freedom Leisure Swansea are looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician to join our friendly and professional team. You will be responsible for the preventative planned maintenance (PPM) and repair of plant and equipment including fixtures and fittings.

Ideally we are looking for someone who has experience within a similar role or industry with a general maintenance/repair skill set. You will be working off your own initiative, and be able to complete and update appropriate technical records. Undertaking repairs where appropriate, and also on occasion be available outside of business hours.

Our facilities are some of the best in the South Wales and have recently gone through an amazing transformation. Although our facilities have been improved significantly there is still work to be done to maintain and continue improvements in our centres and further investment in the estate is planned. The role offers a huge variety of different jobs in any one week and no one day will be the same.

Hours: 24 hours per week, Monday - Sunday (Rota basis).

  • Flexible and hardworking maintenance technician to join our friendly and professional team
  • A Mechanical and or Electrical qualification is desirable.
  • Ability to demonstrate a wide variety of general building services skills.
  • Experience of working with technical plant and services.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • You will be responsible for preventative planned maintenance (PPM) and repair of plant and equipment, fixtures and fittings throughout the Swansea contract.
  • Demonstrate core plumbing skills to an acceptable standard to support planned and reactive maintenance of pipework around the Swansea contract.
  • To be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for staff, customers & contractors. Identifying areas for concern and reporting to the Area technical manager & technical dept as appropriate and take the necessary remedial action.
  • To undertake repairs to the facilities within the competence of the post holder
  • Excellent customer service ethics.
