Job Summary:The Radiologic Technologist will operate the Hologic Discovery Wi DXA for screening purposes
Using proper radiation protection and precautions, prepares and operates radiographic,
fluoroscopic, and portable equipment.
Positions patients to obtain appropriate radiographic exposures.
Operates Hologic Discovery Wi DXA for equipment.
Maintains computerized records, files, and/or reports.
Performs other duties as required.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Knowledge of the current trends and techniques of x-ray technology.
Ability to learn to conduct quality control studies; learn to use computerized radiologic equipment; learn to operate a computer for recordkeeping purposes.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with clients and staff.
Education and Experience:
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in the state and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
Additional BD credentials preferred.
One year of experience desirable.
Prolonged periods standing, reaching and bending.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Physical strength and agility to position patients for a variety of screening appointments
