Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Sport Marketing and Social Media Intern to join the Exos Sport Marketing team. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in executing and enhancing our sports marketing strategies, as well as assist our social media presence. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, shooting, and editing content for social media that tells the Exos brand story and conveys Exos as a leader in the field of human performance, through compelling brand stories. You will also play a key role in developing our local marketing efforts across our youth, adult, high school and PT programs.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about sports, marketing, and social media to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and innovative environment. This position will report to the Sport Marketing and Communications Coordinator and will work on-site in Frisco, TX with our Performance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Social Media:

    • Assist in developing and implementing social media campaigns across various platforms (Instagram & Facebook )

    • Create engaging and compelling content, including graphics, GIFs, and written posts to promote our sports programs, events and brand initiatives.

    • Create, produce, and edit short and easily digested vertical video for social media. (Utilize editing tools within Instagram, Premiere, CapCut) 

    • Monitor social media channels (Instagram / Facebook / Twitter) for community engagement, responding to comments.

    • Analyze social media insights and data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  • Sports Marketing Initiatives:

    • Responsible for executing marketing initiatives as assigned by the global marketing team

    • Support the outreach and marketing strategy of local sport marketing events

    • Contribute to the development of marketing materials that effectively communicate our programs to the local market

    • Assist in monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and suggest improvements based on performance

  • Market Research:

    • Conduct local market research to gain insights into industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences in the sports and social media landscape.

    • Utilize research findings to make data-driven recommendations for our marketing and social media strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Communication, Digital Media, or a related field.

  • Basic skills in photography and videography through multiple technologies such as video/ photo cameras, smartphones, etc.

  • Familiarity with major social media platforms, content creation tools, and social media analytics.

  • Passion for sports and a strong understanding of sports culture and trends.

  • Ability to react quickly to trends and create brand-appropriate content on the fly.

  • Creative thinking with a keen eye for design aesthetics and storytelling.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

  • Must be able to work on-site in Frisco, TX

Internship Logistics:

If selected for this internship experience, you will be asked to:

  • Find, secure, and fund your own housing for the duration of the internship.

  • Fund all food and transportation costs for the duration of your internship.

  • Must be in a program accepting course credit in exchange for an internship experience, as this is an unpaid internship. We will confirm course credit through your advisor. 

  • Commit to full duration of program that coincides with academic schedule , January - May

  • Commit to approx 20 hrs/week (subject to change pending academic requirements)
